Revision as of 11:45, 8 October 2004

Dear Knootoss, thank you for writing pages from the nationstates encyclopedia, however, please follow the Neutral point of view guidelines. Defaultia 19:04, 2 Oct 2004 (GMT)

Pffft... I just created that as a very premature stub so I could physically link someone on IRC to it. (This person knows a lot more about the NSUN and was to write the article.) He went to bed now but should be writing the thing tomorrow. ~Knoot

Next time copy from the FAQ, it's more neutral than "The organization everybody loves to hate". ;-) That's mainly what I did. --Defaultia 01:21, 3 Oct 2004 (GMT)

Knoot = teh lazy :P Also, everyone hates the NSUN so I do not see any bias there. ;)

Knoot, The Past, Future, etc Categories are intended to give folks somewhere other than Category:Nations to put subcategories. I don't care if they get used much, I'm just looking for a good way to clean up SubCategories a bit. If we don't do something, Category:Nations will be ten screens long, which won't be at all useful. -- Frisbeeteria

Actually, I think it would be rather useful to have a long category with 'nations' since there are a lot of nations. Sprawling them out over subcategories that *will* be incomplete would only add to the confusion, IMO. I'd like to discuss it on IRC when goober is there. Knoot 19:11, 6 Oct 2004 (GMT)

Ah, but the nations themselves will still be in Category:Nations. It's only the subcategories I'm going after. Frisbeeteria 19:18, 6 Oct 2004 (GMT) (will IRC when I get home.)

I understand that, I know how the system works, but it would still create rather useless categories unless you intend to meticilously assign categories to every nation and every entry made. You might just as well divide all entries in 'done by make RPers' and 'done by female RPers' - its that broad. besides, usually it is clear from context what a nation is. I do not see why every article would need to be in 3 categories minimum.
