Thumbnailing images
The thumbnailing function of MediaWiki involves the creation of a new image in a /thumb/ directory. Due to safe mode restrictions, the current server environment won't permit the creation of a new image via the execution of a script. Ah, you're probably talking about your personal My watchlist. Yeah, I see what you mean. Mine shows everything I've ever highlighted to be watched ... which suits me fine.
