Virsliga

The virsliga is the highest Football division in Boudra-Boudra, containing 10 teams. Teams play each other Home and Away in an eighteen game season.

The league is brand new and the first season has only just finished, towards the future it's not unlikely that the Virsliga will increase in size as only a few of the big cities have signed up so far for participation. However the Boudra-Boudra Football Association has the right to keep the current structure intact up to season 4 as all major cities were asked to participate upon the creation of the league and have been informed they would not get another chance to join before the forth season.

Towards the future it is also the goal to send the best teams to international tournaments as the Champions League and the NSFA Cup, so far however the Boudran teams do not participate in these tournaments.

After every season, the bottom two teams find themselves in relegation trouble. The last team (tenth) drops to the second division, the Superettan, while the ninth team plays a two legged play-off against the number two of the Superettan to determine which one of those teams gets to play in the Virsliga the season after.

Superettan

Ten teams compete in the second division also called Superettan. Every season the winner promotes to the Virsliga while the number two get's a playoff against the number nine of the Virsliga to decide who plays in the Virsliga the next season.

Sjwitz Cup

The BBFA has set up a Cup competition as asked for by most of the teams in the league. The Sjwitzcup, named after the origin of most Boudra-Boudra inhabitants, consists of five rounds. In round one, all the teams that ended third and lower in the Superettan (during the previous season) play off as to keep 4 remaining teams. Those teams are joined in round two by the twelve other teams in the league (Virsliga teams + top 2 Superettan teams of previous season) to make a total of 16 teams. Winners go to the Third Round or Quarterfinals and from there on it goes on to the final. In all rounds the draw is completely random, there are no seedings.

Boudra Double Cup

Another idea from the BBFA was to create a so called 'Boudra Double Cup'. This is a one match cup played between the Virsliga champion and the Cup winner at the end of the season. The match will be played on a neutral field.
