The GoalVan Territories of Vitrionia is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 2.373 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Commerce, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 64%, and even higher for the wealthy. A healthy private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Beef-Based Agriculture and Automobile Manufacturing.

Referenda can be called for any law at the request of at least one third of the voting population, torture is illegal, almost half of the child population live rough on the streets, and heavy industry must go to expensive lengths to dispose of waste and avoid even more costly cleanup costs. Crime is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Vitrionia's national animal is the Cat, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Daisy.
