The Borderlands of Viviani is a small nation, about 3000 miles from east to west and 2000 from north to south. There are coasts to the east and west, facing huge oceans, and another coast to the south, fronting a large gulf.
The western third of the nation is occupied by the Presidential Range, where many peaks top 14,000 feet and the tallest reach over 21,000 feet.
The capital of Viviani is Broadacre City. Its tallest building, at 200 Front Street, is colloquially referred to as "Mile High" because of its height of 5280 feet.
Viviani's citizens have a long history of training in guerilla warfare. Che Guevara's book Guerilla Warfare and Sun-Tzu's The Art of War can be found in four out of five homes. Viviani's citizens are taught guerilla warfare, insurgency, and use of sniper weapons and small-unit tactics from an early age. In the entire history of Viviani no invading nation has ever successfully conquered it.
