The Democratic States of Vosgrad are a state founded upon the principles of direct democracy. Although in recent years there have been problems due to a corrupt government and ineffective economy, the Vosgradians are trying to reform the government to bring about change. The old, dual monarchy has recently been abolished (there used to be a king for Southern Vosgrad and one for the Northern Reaches) with now a President as head of state and government.
