History

Wazistan gained independence in March 17, 1678 and official was declared the Repubilc of Wazistan. Wazistan went through Economic hardship for many years after independence was achieved. It wasn't until the 1800s when Wazistan began emerging from its shatterered economcy.

In 1928, A Military coup led by Raul Bin Mohammoud overthrew the Wazi Government and official declared himself King of the new Kingdom of Wazistan. For the next couple of years, Wazis did not fault the new King and his policies. Economic growth continued and the King lessen the Government's role in its citizen's lives. In 1945, however King Raul died and his son, Zahir asccended to the throne.

King Zahir, unlike his father, installed a brutal regime over the country, using the military to keep a grip on the country. King Zahir disbanded civil rights, suspended the Declaration of Human Rights of 1904, and began executing opposition leaders to his rule. The King allowed terrorist a safe haven in Wazistan, allowing them to ran ramped throughout the country without consequence.

In 1970, The Revolutionar Guard, and group of fighters whose goal is to end the Monarch and restore democracy to the country began a large uprise in the Ujaz Province. Under the leadership of Muhammud al-Bara, the Guard began a 5 year long campaign against the Monarchy.

Muhammud al-Bara sooned arrived in the Capital and soon declared a Interim Government, which would stir the country to its first elections since 1920. All 20 Provinces at first rejected the new Government, but sooned accepted it. The new Military, which was composed of memebrs of the Guard, soon began expanding throughout the country to restore order.

In 1980, the country held its first Presidential and Parliamentary elections in 60 years. Mr. Ishmal Brahim was elected President, and Dr. Jatal Abuz, who led the Untied Muslim Alliance, the first party founded since 1920; was appointed Prime Minister.
