Called the Tanendrol by Akaeians, this wide expanse of land between the west bank of the River Salis and the Western Mountains has long been a disputed region between Akaeia and Sicinia Salis. Stretching for almost 700 miles from north to south, this area is one of the most fertile sections of land in the Eastern Continent, and consequently spawned many wars. The Akaeians saw the River Salis as the natural border, while Sicinians claimed the frontier lay in Western Mountains. The fields of the West Downs gave been watered with the blood both nations, at places like Cisteremy, Teur d'Blanc, Marbicourt, and Akaseia (now renamed its original Laatzenian Caer Agnau).
The West Downs has recently returned to Sicinian hands after the Three Day's War, and following a mass migration of most of the original inhabitants has been settled by ehtnic Sicinians.
