History

The Mercenary Nation of YarenZero was founded when the Zero family and their followers were exiled from the Western Empire (North, Central, and South America). They floated around the Pacific Ocean aimlessly for months. As food began to run scarce, the Citizens resulted to looting ships and attacking small islands under Western Empire Controll. The Zeroans soon began attacking ships for the sole purpose of comandeering and tearing it into scrap to build into a nation that would be completely mobile. A nation that could raise anchor and bring the battle to it's enemy. A floating nation.

The first aim of the Zeroans was to produce weapons for defensive purposes to protect itself from it's enemies. Seeing that a war economy was the best economy to have, the nation began to sell off weapons and contracts for it's troops to fight for other nations. The Mercenary NAtion of YarenZero had been born.

People

The intelligent people of YarenZero are fiercely patriotic, defensive, and have strict bonds for obeying the law. The crime rate is extremely low due to a vigilant police force. All citizens are required to join into the armed forces at age 20 for basic training.

Most citizens of YarenZero pursue hobbies that translate into real world situations. Some of these activities include the violent & brutal game of war ball as well as simunition scenarios. The government promotes these activities, and helps support simunition and warball arenas.

Assasination of the king is always a great worry. As a preventative measure, millions of samples of DNA have been hidden in military compounds, as well as underwater caves throughout the globe. In the event of a death or assasination when the king has no heir, these samples can be recalled to create a new Heir of half Zeroan blood.

Major Employers

In addition to the armed forces, many Zeroans have second Jobs they pursue. The two largest Career paths are:

Armed Forces

since it is required to be on call to fight at any moment, all Zeroans recieve training at age 20. After training, you must wait until age 25 to enter a specialized training school for skills such as Heavy weapons training, Information Warfare, and Missle Command. Citizens that advance to these levels can make a career out of their job if they wish.

For all citizens on active duty (ages 20 to 60), a monthly revenue is recieved from the governmnet with money left over from Mercenary Contracts with other nations.

Arms Manufacturing

since military training is required, most citizens own a Standard Issue YZ-BRT01. YarenZero produces all of it's own arms, which are also for sale to other nations. The list of arms produced is a large one, ranging from Handguns to ICBMs.

Most, if not all, weapons manufactured in YarenZero contain a D-chip. The D-chip contains product information for repair purposes, as well as a kill swithch. The Kill switch is used to keep YarenZero's weapons from being used in YarenZero. A D-chip, however, will only stop the firing mechanism or payload (in the case of a missle) from working when it is in the active range of a D-transmitter. A D-transmitter produces two waves. A Weak, long range wave that is used to dissable D-chips (1.5 miles on a Soldier's portable beacon. The D-transmitter installed in the nation emits two miles past the nation's docks.), and a stronger, short range wave (aprx 6 feet) that negates the other wave so the Zeroan soldier's weapons continue to work.

This can not be done for missle launches. The only one that knows the code for a missle launch is not a person, but a code output machine. The code output machine creates one code every two minutes that can be used to over-ride thd D-chip on Zeroan Missles. This code is given to the Head Missle Technician, who is escorted by two Checkmate Operatives (in case somebody tries to kidnap the tech, or if the tech tries to bomb a location different than the designated location)to the machine. At the machine, he recieves the code, and in-puts it into the missle launcher. If done in the two minute period, the missle will successfully launch.
