Overview
The Allied States of Yurgimyi is a very large, pleasant nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its compassionate population of 62 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.
The enormous, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Healthcare, and Social Welfare. The average income tax rate is 38%, but much higher for the wealthy. A substantial private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Beef-Based Agriculture and Basket Weaving.

Crime is relatively low. Yurgimyi's national animal is the tortoise, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the parunda.

The KGB
Yurgimyi was once host to the United Soviet Eternal Area's KGB, based in the Ivory Palace in Zitavostok. However, Yurgimyi left the USEA region and the Ivory Palace was converted into a museum for the KGB's history.
