The Democratic Republic of Zahkatii is the biggest and socially most advanced nation in the Zahkatiian Ocean. It is the United Nations Delegate for this area and contains also the head seat in the Democratic Socialist Liberatarian Union for World Unity (DSL-UWU).
History
Recent Development
After the "Golden Revolution" the Democratic Republic of Zahkatii became officially libertarian and socially progressive in 2004. In not more than 6 months the first democratically elected High Chancellor E. Zeratul formed some kind of socialistic paradise out of the militaristic police state the Republic was before. Everything worked fine until the "Black Tuesday". On that desastrous day the Zahkatiian stock market collapsed and the whole economy of the Republic seemed to be on the egde of destruction. It was not competitive to capitalist economies anymore. The recent agenda of social security, political and civil liberties and economic drawback had lead to an critical state of the nation where the whole utopian paradise could be destroyed. This was the starting point for High Chancellor Zeratul's initiative to form the Organization of Economic Co-Operation in the Zahkatiian Ocean (OECZC). With the economically stronger nations like Verydia and Yzeroth by its side, the Democratic Republic of Zahkatii was able to strengthen its economy and industry.
