Government
The government of Zurst comprises of three different levels. The highest is the Emperor, followed by the Senate and then a Court System
The Emperor of Zurst
The Emperor of Zurst is the highest power in the land, All bills preparing to be brought into law are first viewed by the emperor where he confirms or denies the Senate to vote on the legislation
The Senate
The Senate is the next level of government it comprises of Two Partys the Emperor's National Fascist party, and the Second the Peoples Democratic Opposition Party. The later holds some Power but holds few seats in the Senate, while the first The Emperor's National Fascist party referred to as the "Nationalists" by the people of Zurst hold a Majority of power and are favored by the people. The Senate is chosen by free and open elections with compulsory voting. The Democratic Opposition Party Socred a Major Victory With there passing of a bill that grants people a moderate ammout of eccomomic freedoms, They also gained seats in the senate.

History
General
Originally a State in the Republic of Silverhead Zurst was formally created on NationStates on November 11, 2005. now has a population in excess of 174 million people and continues to grow. The nation's current leader, Emperor Prasutagus I has been in power since its Foundation and will continue to hold power until he can pass the Throne onto a worthy successor.
Formation
The Corrupt Republic of Silverhead Once held Zurst as a State, The people grew tired of this corrupt Government and held a Revolution, Unfortunately The people of Zurst failed to have a system of government awaiting them and the new empire was thrown in to Anarchy for at least a year, but the exact time frame is not known due to the impossibility of keeping records during this time. The Emperor who had been Wounded during the fighting Came forward and Swiftly returned Law& Order To Zurst, He was Appointed Emperor of the New Empire of Zurst, He then Made the remainder of the Peoples Revolutionary Army Into the Army of Zurst. He Joined with a Number of Former Silverhead Senators To form the Senate of Zurst. He Refurbished The Old Severely Damaged Senate Hall into a Grander Senate hall for his new Senate. He then Started open Elections and seeing how important voting was made it Compulsory.
The Emperors History
The Emperor was Born in Zurst and had always loved his native land. He left his home town of Goldel when he was 18 to go To Nash the then Capital city of the Republic of Silverhead to become educated, when war broke out He feared for the safety of his Family and the people of Zurst. He was Drafted into the Silverheadian Army but refused to fight his People, he was then Jailed. The Peoples Revolutionary Army broke him out of prison and he Joined them to fight, he Ultimately Achieved the rank of Major. He was Shot and Wounded in the Battle for Nash And Very nearly died, How ever Medics found him in time treated him,And admitted him to a Military hospital for treatment. Even though the Emperor fell in battle here, The Peoples Revolutionary Army Managed to Crush The Remainder of the Silverheadian Army and stormed Nash, Thus leading to the downfall of The Republic of Silverhead. Unfortunately after The Revolution Crushed the Government, The People of Zurst were suffering horribly and Anarchy Broke out. The Emperor Arose to save the land he had always loved, He pulled the Nation out of the fire and reformed it to the Empire of Zurst. Unfortunately the Nations numbers had been Decimated due to the war.

The Flag of Zurst Represents The Prime Elements Of the Nation; God, Law & Order, and the Emperor. The Orange Background represents The Chaos that ensues with out Law or Order, The White lines are the Purification and Preservation of the Land and the bringing about of Purity and Peace Through Law& Order. The Red Band is the Blood spilled from Chaos And also that of the brave Soldiers who have fought for Zurst. Lastly the Flag features The Emperors standard along with the words "God Given Power" in Zurst Script. This Represents the Power that all men are endowed by God, and the Emperors roll as the Protectorate of this power, And of Zurst.
The Zurst National Anthem
The Zurst National Anthem was composed By Patriotic composer Jonathan Sevenson and then given to emperor him self, The Emperor liked it so well he made it the National Anthem.

The Tiger
The majestic Tiger is Zurst's national animal. Native To the Lands. These Creatures Were once Hunted Almost to the Brink of Annihilation in Silverhead. It is said that the Emperors life was once saved by a Tiger Which is why he has a Great love for this Animal this how ever cannot be confirmed. The people of Zurst Proposed this Animal be eaten, This greatly disturbed the emperor and he passed Laws to protect them and save there Habitat.
Language
The languages you will here spoken in Zurst differ from province to province. In the Northern provinces German is widely spoken, In The Southern provinces Greek and Latin are Spoken. In The Middle Provinces one will see wide use of English, Gaelic and Latin How ever The Universal and Official Language of Zurst Is English and is spoken in every province.
Climate and Geography
Zurst is in a moderate climatic zone. The temperature ranges from around 25-35°F in the winter to around 80-90°F in the summer. In the Northern realms temperatures can drop to below -20°F in the Winter months.

Zurst Has Many Citys. The Capital City being the Largest and a Few other citys, A Brief Description of the most important of these are listed below.
Drunel:
This Is the Capital Of Zurst it holds the Imperial Palace, The Embassy's of Zursts Allies, and Many other Governmental Buildings. Drunel Is also the largest city in Zurst. The Imperial Guard are also located here, and operate out of the Imperial Palace. Although they have a Second HQ in Grangerius. it Once Contained a Large Industrial and Privet business Sector which the Emperor is striving to rebuild through Changes in Policy.
Nash:
This was once the Capital city of The Republic of Silverhead, It is Zursts Second Largest city and contains The Records Bureau where all Major Records are kept. One of Zursts Finest Colleges is Located here, It is the same School the Emperor attended Although it now lacks the same Luster as when the Emperor Attended.
The Port City of Ash:
An Illustrious Port City on Zursts only Seaside. A large Port is here but has Recently fallen in to Military hands they use it to Dock there Ships, The Naval Academy is located here and the Imperial Navies Head Quarters. What little Tourism Zurst gets is Usually here on Andrew Beach.
Grangerius:
If Grangerius can be Considered a City or not, is Yet to be determined, Grangerius is Mainly a Military Camp where the Imperial army and Marines Locate there HQ. Hammer Air Field is Also located here where the Imperial Army Air Core locates is planes.
Imperial Watch
Home of Zursts Fine Scout service And Zursts Intelligence Community. The Military Relies and Trusts greatly the Imperial Scouts as well as does the emperor.
Ryel:
A Small Mining Town in Zursts South West. Once Completely surrounded by Forests. it is now growing and offering jobs thanks to the growing Mining Industry.
