Overview
The Anarcho-Syndicalist Commune of Okanama City (abbreviated: ASCOC), commonly known as Okanama City, is a Anarcho-Syndicalist commune that was founded in Janurary of 1998, after the events of the Great Okanaman Proletarian Revolution (GOPC) of 1992-1998. From becoming independent from Luo Geng in 1968 to the formal dissolution of powers in 1998, it was known as The Popular Democratic Republic of Okanama City.
Since the GOPC and the establishment of Okanama City as the ASCOC, the Okanaman economy has been witness to a dramatic level of economic growth in the past five years, which has resulted in the re-industrialization of Okanama City, the upgrading of its telecommunications infrastructure, the development of renewable power sources, particularly nuclear power, and the re-development of the Okanaman educational system.
Okanama City is governed by the entire population, through the Popular Council of the Peoples of Okanama City / L'Counseil Populaire du Pueples de Cité Okanama (PCPOC/CPPOC) a city-wide revolutionary council that is based on consensus and through the Syndicalist Union of Oknaman Unity / L'Union Syndicaliste de Unité Okanamien (SUOU/USUO), which is in turn responsible for the popular administration of the means of production.
