Liverpool England is in the region of The Heartland, and has always been bar a few times when regional arguements got in the way. The nation is most reputed for its' sporting achievements, having won two major sporting titles, and hosting two others, excluding minor competitions inside The Heartland.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Defence, with areas such as Healthcare and Public Transport receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry, ranking 7th in The Heartland and 872nd in the world at last count.
