Serveria

The Republic of Serveria (Le République de Sérvéria) is a republic that lies on the continent of South Columbria; within the Dhalgren region. The republic is a totalitarian capitalist state that is very unusual in that it allows abortion and equal rights for those regardless of race, gender, and creed.

The Goverment of the Republic is actually composed of the Grand Military Council, a nine-men group of generals that are responsible for the proper management of all major sectors of the Republic of Serveria (the military, the economy, education, and so on.) The chairman of the GMC is the Grand General Gauvin Dupré, who makes sure that the eight other generals maintain the balance and stability of the Republic and has the absolute power to replace them with new, more competent generals when necessary.

However, there has been significant opposition to military rule in recent years, coming from revolutionary communist anarchists within the working class and from people who wish to overthrow the military diticatorship and replace it with a functioning capitalist democracy. So far, both forces have been reasonably contained.

Before Serveria existed, the land it now lies on was home to indigeneous tribes that came from Central and North Columbria; namely the Marcunians & the Honasha. The Marcunian tribes occupied the northern and central parts of present-day Serveria
