The Confederacy of Weserkyn, a member of the United Nations, is a nation of the region The Paper Bag. It is also the founder of the Accord of Liberalists.
The Flag
The national flag of Weserkyn is a gold diagonal cross, surrounded by one large white star and seven smaller white ones, on a red background. The red background symbolises the nation's power and valor. The gold cross symbolises justice. Each of the seven smaller stars represents the seven states, while the larger star represents the nation itself. The stars are white to symbolise the nation's pure and peaceful nature.
Society
Most people in Weserkyn are Germanic and Scandinavian in ethnicity, because the country was first settled and founded by a group of Anglo-Saxons from England. Native Americans and African Americans are the two largest minorities.
Weserkyn has three national languages: Weserian, English, and a minority dialect of Weserian considered by the national government as a separate language. Weserian is spoken by the general public and used for internal affairs. English is used with international affairs. The minority dialect is used in a localized but good-sized part of the nation, and the local government is conducted using both the national dialect and the minority one. All citizens learn Weserian either as a native language or in school as a second language. Most are fairly competent in the English language, which is expected of them by the education department.
