An anchorwoman jabbers on your screen, talking about the economy of Spartaa.
The camera angle changes and they go in for a close up. A picture of Athan’s flag appears next to a picture of a blonde man in the right corner of your screen. With the words “The Loss and Life in Athan”. Then as the woman beings to speak about the subject, it cuts to images of a funeral, and then a wedding.
“In the Grand Empire of Athan they grieve for the loss of Empress Lilith, who passed away three weeks ago after a car accident, she was twenty years of age and died on impact when she drove off a cliff. She was survived by her husband, Emperor Kratos Andrew Mirume, age twenty-one. They had no children, for it was reported earlier this year that she was unable to have any.
“There is speculation on her death though. A number of the Empress’ staff has said that the Emperor had her killed because she couldn’t bare any children. There has been no evidence of foul play. The Emperor grieved the proper week, for Athans that is, before moving on and finding a new wife.
“And indeed, Emperor Kratos, or Emperor Andrew as he is often called, married Princess Cally Willamina Rastaban of the Queendom of Rastaban, age 16. She is the daughter of the late Queen Julie the Third and Prince Al’ver Yfelle, the queen’s third husband. Yfelle was responsible for the small civil war that raged Rastaban for over two years, and recently ended in his capture.
“Queen Cora, Princess Cally’s older sister, has yet to comment on her sister’s marriage. Princess Cally was crowned Empress today, and the couple have announce that they will have a child, not he conventional way though. They plan to use the Design-A-Person™, from Solid Water’s genetic engineering center. It will be male heir for Athan’s throne. Emperor Kratos and Empress Cally are very excited about this new venture. They said in a recent interview that they plan on to have more children, once Empress Cally reaches the age of eighteen, and that if they have a girl they plan to name her Lilith after the late empress.”
The woman is handed a piece of paper. "Ah, wonderful." She looks at you through the screen. "It is my pleasure to announce that Emperor Andrew and Princess-er-Empress Cally have had a child, in the afore mention way. They have a wonderful son, who, has been made to that of a one year old. Welcome His Royal Highness, Imperial Prince Sei Kratos Al'ver Mirmue!"

Government
This monarchy is similar in tradition to France. The throne is inherited by the males, no females shall be the primary rulers of The Grand Empire of Athan. Some important members of the government in this country are:

Religion
Athan is full of devout Eru-Christians. Though the relgions promotes tolerance of other religions, it can be rairly found in Athan, though the people are good putting on faces that say other wise. You will notice that there are no large centers of other religious activity in Athan. If there are, all the churches/temples/etc. are grouped together, so a close eye could be kept on them in case they slip up.
Languages
Most often spoken languages in Athan are English, Elfin and Maori. The last too are due to the large settlements that appeared a couple of hundred years ago.
