Overview

The People's Syndicalist Commune of New Ronin, commonly known as New Ronin is a directly-democratic Syndicalist urban commune which lies on the easternmost coast of the South Coulumbrian continent, physically bordered by Segasaturn to its north, the Great Saturnia River to its southwest and the Eastern Ocean to its south.

Since gaining independence from France after a 29-year insurrection against the French colonial forces on 16 March 2004 and the overthrowing of the provisional government installed by France by the Roninese Syndicalist Union (RSU) on 24 October 2004, New Ronin has begun the difficult task of rebuilding, for its ports, homes, factories, schools, hospitals, roads, and railroads were completely destroyed by both the insurrection and the revolution.

On 1 January 2007, the Syndicalist Roninese Union (SRU) and the Mass People's Council of the People's Syndicalist Commune of New Ronin (MCPSCNR) announced that it will begin the urban commune's first ten year plan for social, cultural, political and economic re-development, following the the ten-year plan introduced by [[]Elizibethania]] earlier on the same day. Both the MCPSCNR and the SRU claimed that the severe insufficiencies that continue to exist in New Ronin's economic planning was the main thing holding back the official beginning of the reconstruction.
