The Republic of Yuunli (currently in The East Pacific) was founded in April 2005, and joined the United Nations in the same month.
Delegates from the Executive Council of the Republic are checking which region to move to.
Political System
Executive
The executive of the Republic is the Executive Council, consisting of:
- Councilors elected for 3 years by the citizens. They make policies within the framework of the current legislation. Every Councilor is responsible for one department, such as education, infrastructure or international relations.
- The Representatives of the Constituent Parts of the Republic represent the executive of the island and the part on the continent, respectively. With joint forces, the two representatives can block Council decisions.
- Chairperson elected for 3 years by the citizens. The chairperson's role is to moderate in case there is a conflict among Councilors and/or Representatives. Moreover s/he represents the Republic abroad.
Legislature
The legislative branch of the Republic is called Legislative Assembly. The Assembly does not have fixed members, but consists of representatives of political parties. Those parties are elected every 4 years by the citizens in a proportion-vote system.
The Assembly also has Obervers from the parliaments of the island and the part on the continent. With joint forces, the two observers can block bills.
Geography
Yuunli consists of two parts: a landlocked part of a continent (13,689 km²), and an island off the north-west coast of that continent (30,601 km²). So far, only an outline map of the island exists:
Climate
The whole country has a temperate oceanic climate with mild summers and rainy winters.
Provinces
The two parts of Yuunli enjoy great autonomy. They are further divided into provinces (A-K on the island, L-P on the continent):
- Province A: 335 km²
- Province B: 3669 km², mountainous
- Province C: 3618 km²
- Province D: 4606 km², at the coast
- Province E: 1256 km², at the coast
- Province F: 4007 km², mountainous
- Province G: 3704 km², mountainous
- Province H: 3876 km²
- Province I: 3385 km², at the coast
- Province J: 475 km²
- Province K: 1470 km²
- Province L: 2349 km²
- Province M: 2781 km², mountainous
- Province N: 1053 km²
- Province O: 3810 km²
- Province P: 3696 km², mountainous
