'Information'
The Emirate of Willink is a very large, safe nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 96 million are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.
The enormous, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 37%, but much higher for the wealthy. A substantial private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Woodchip Exports, and Pizza Delivery industries.
Scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, high-income earners pay a 100% tax rate, the government is cutting back on the number of political prisoners executed each year, and euthanasia is legal. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Willink's national animal is the the fly and its currency is the Dollar.
'Geography'
Willink is a large nation, roughly the size of North and South veitnam combined. The Current Capital city is Lebanon(Population 3.5 million). A large island in the Consortium of shadows, and has a generally warm climate, and most of the population lives in the north. Also included in Willink territory is South Willink (Island Size of Tiwan, Pop-45 million) and Willink Saharistani Territory(Pop-5 million)
Saharistan War
Willink, as an eager young nation of 12 million, was the first member of the coalition(except Leafanistan) to become involved in the war. Willink's first attack was on an industrial uranium complex in southeastern Baghdad(capitol of Saharistan). The complex was destroyed, but our forces suffered heavy losses. Things then calmed down, untill the attack on the Halberdgardian ship, the Valiant. After a massive air assault by Halberdgardia, willink medium bombers completley destroyed the Baghdad airport(main base for saharistan air force). The government of Willink was angered by the use of nuclear tipped missiles, but the war continued. After A victory over the Sharistani navy, (President Ian Rousell was quoted saying: "We kicked their ass") Saharistan shocked all nations involved by announcing it had purchased 400 ICBMs on the global market. After viewing the demands, President Rousell Sent a message to The Sharistan President, saying "Fuck No" 92 ICBM's were fired at Willink, and 70 hit, killing 8 million people and the president. The two largest cities Willink city and alto vista, were completly destroyed, and Willink retailiated by launching 200 nuclear cruise missiles at Saharistan. Prior to the launch of Willink's nuclear missiles, the naval squadron off sharistan launched missiles at saharistani positions all night. After the attack on Willink ended, Willink created a coalition against Saharistan, including the nations of Space union, hailandkill,McKagen,Leafanistan,Halberdgardia, and others. The invasion of Sahristan began when the Willink naval squadron sailed right into the largest port of the country and destroyed the rest of the Saharistan navy, and captured the whole pinisula.
RECONSTRUCTION
The reconstruction process continued at a slow pace, and actually took longer than the war. The former nation of Saharistan was split into sectors among the leaders of the coalition.
