Chancellor of Mejar, Sorath Keran Dajal I founded the Imperium of Kajal with his wife, Lirella Keral. Under his leadership, the Imperium grew drastically, achieving both faster than light capability, and establishing contact with Sol. His government was level headed and benevolent, allowing a good deal of personal freedoms, and keeping taxation rates reasonable. With the founding of Kajal Mars, Lirella Keral left the Imperium to govern the colony.
Dajal I was assassinated in a plot orchestrated by his son, Dajal II. The plot had also aimed to remove Lirella, though she was outside his reach. Dajal I's death marked the end of the benevolent Imperium, and the beginning of the tyranical regime that the Imperial Era is known for.
