The ACCEL UN Division is responsible for co-ordinating the work of ACCEL in the United Nations. The Division's main objectives, derived from the Treaty of ACCEL, are "to promote and defend free market economies across the world, and to champion the sovereign rights of nations and regions in the face of the domineering United Nations". Efforts are currently being concentrated on repealling resolutions, with a longer term focus on drafting resolutions to promote capitalism and free trade. With ACCEL consisting of around twenty member regions the Division is able to call upon a large number of delegates to support its goals.
UN work was formerly overseen by an Undersecretary of UN Affairs who reported directly to the Secretary of World Affairs, but subsequent internal reforms have now seen the UN division and commerce departments merge, under the leadership of the Secretary for Trade and National Sovereignty.
