The Invisible Hand of Wegason is a massive, economically powerful nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 1.578 billion are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.
There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, pro-business individuals juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Defence. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Gambling and Book Publishing.
A weakened police force struggles to maintain law and order, hundreds of thousands of convicts work as slaves in Wegason's many privately-owned prisons, scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, and eight year-olds with lemonade stands have been known to be locked up on charges of embezzlement. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a major problem. Wegason's national animal is the Fire Dragon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Fez.
Wegason is the Founder and UN Delegate of Coconut Island and a Director of ACCEL. Wegason is also a NS General Parliament MP for the Classic Liberal Party.
Wegason is also the ACCEL's Chairman. Being elected to that role by the Directors of the Alliance.
