Allied States Orbital Command

The Allied States Orbital Command (AA-sock) is in command of the Allied States' space forces. Within this branch of the services, there are the Elite Advance Squad Orbital Paradroppers, or EASOPs. ASOC currently commands the Orbital Navy, as well as the shipyards, weapons sattelites, and the new Apollo II space station. The navy has launched the first interstellar vessels in the Santa Maria class exploration vessels, and all four are being deployed to explore the space surrounding the Sol system.

  • Description: An inherited possesion after the isolation of the the Military Republic of Jace, the Nuclear Particle Cannon sattelites channel a nuclear explosion into a coherent beam through intense manipulation of the magnetic fields of plutonium. The prohibitive maintenance cost and ageing technology, as well as the bloated ASOC budget has led both the Admirality and the Congress of Alliance to agree to dismantle the sattelites

  • Description: The Apollo II is the headquarters of the ASOC, and houses all facilities for administration and training for the decreased EASOP contingent, now down to a mere 1,000 combat troops because of restrictive costs, but their have been cries to train more troops on the surface. The Apollo II is a massive station, which was an massive upgrade and extension of the original Apollo orbital station, which was a joint measure with the Military Republic of Jace.

Brief History

The Allied States Orbital Command was formed to oversee the Allied States expansion into space. There first program was the Apollo Starbase, built jointly with the Military Republic of Jace. The base has since been upgraded and expanded to the point where it is now almost quadrupled in mass, and is now classified as the Apollo II. The ASOC is the newest branch, but is quickly becoming the most elite and respected branch, mainly because of it's small size (only approximately 200k members serving active combat duty). The OC has also developed faster-than-light technology known as a HOD gravdrive, which involved manipulation of spacetime to create a hole into higher-order dimensions, which physicists have now postulated is the source of gravity.
