Amrod ap Gwydion

Amrod (1054-1511) was a self-proclaimed High King of the Resurgent Dream during the Homecoming War. Amrod was born in the Dreaming a prince of Arcadia. He lived his entire life believing in the superiority of himself and his race.

Amrod was the head of the Fae who were exiled from the Dreaming at the beginning of the 1500s. He led them to the island of Dana, where most Fae believed they had ancestral links. Without consulting with the humans who were already living there, Amrod proclaimed himself High King of the entire island. Obviously, then reigning High King Dafydd ap Cunedda disagreed.

Amrod waged the Homecoming War ruthlessly. He brutally put down all resistance, including the killing of unarmed women and children. It was one such attack against an unarmed woman of humble station that provoked the fight which ended Amrod's rule. Timon ap Gwydion came to the woman's defense, challenging Amrod to a duel in which both Sidhe died.
