Asgarnian Border Defense Force
The Asgarnian Border Defense Force (ABDF) a sub-branch of the military. Their primary role is manning checkpoints on the borders of provinces and territories in Asgarnieu. They are also stationed at military installations for use at entrances. They are very well trained and are expert marksmen. They are also deployable to foriegn nations in which military installations are located. It answers to the Asgarnian Special Forces.

History
The Asgarnian Border Defense Force was formed in 2000, to add extra security to already thinly-stretched military security forces. The Asgarnian Border Defense Force is fairly small, but is extremely well-trained.
Strength
There are currently 172,640 personnel in the ABDF.

All Asgarnian Armed Forces Installations are protected by the Asgarnian Border Defense Force.

Current Engagements
The Asgarnian Border Defense Force was forced into battle (and remains so) by the protectorate of Araban (see the 2006 Asgarnieu/Araban Border Conflict). It is not clear as to when the conflict will end.
