Bubosia is a pleasant nation, small in power but large in land. It is home to 12 million hard-working people who have some civil rights but not too many.

History of Bubosia

Bubosia was the home of a nomadic tribe for several centuries. The tribe, who had no name for themselves, traveled around its barren landscape looking for food. Around 1400 a terrible drought hit the tribe, forcing it to seek water. One evening the tribe noticed an owl, rare at the time, glowing in the sunset. The leader of the tribe, Arcas, ordered them to follow the owl. The tribe traveled for many hours and eventually led them to a river by the sea. The moment the owl reached the river it collapsed from exhaustion. The tribe decided to settle by the river and build a monument to the owl, and when their leader died they named the settlement after him.

About 60 years later Arcasia became visited by foreigners more and more often. But no ships would dock there as there was no suitable port. A group of villagers scoured the near by coast for a suitable spot. They eventually found a natural inlet which they originally named Newport. This sole port was called this until about 29 years later, when a cargo ship, the 'Redfelt' blew into its bay. Many survivors were rescued and most were returned to their homeland, which granted the port with many luxurious gifts. In return the port council named the port after the ship.
