The Great Sheik Yerbouti's Isles of Buttery Boonswoggles is a massive, economically powerful nation, remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.754 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Defence, although Law & Order and Education are secondary priorities. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 89%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Book Publishing industries.

Inheritance tax has recently been abolished, there has been a series of riots between local cannibals and health food advocates, school uniforms are compulsory, and military spending recently hit a new high. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Buttery Boonswoggles's national animal is the Sparklehorse, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Introduction

The Great Sheik Yerbouti's Isles of Buttery Boonswoggles is often regarded as a most curious nation, not ending at its rather whimsical title & strange flag (which depicts a young girl asphyxiating a young boy). The land itself is full of little quirks & eccentrcities, the best example of which is the nation's capital city, Kakihara, which is in fact a perfect circle.

The Land is believed to have been discovered around 700BC by a pagan-esque cult, who practiced a religion similar to that of today's Wicca religion. These pagan inhabitants were exiles of the now dead 'Butter Beanese'.
