History of the Chronosian Imperium
The Chronosian Imperium has a long and violent history; going back to the fall of the Chronosian Communist State. Corrupt, bloated with bureaucracy, collapsing in on itself; the nation teetered on the brink of collapse; the power hungry legions of the army, became ravenous bands of techno-barbarians, ravaging a country falling apart...
Yet from the darkness and madness, came the Emperor; Marcus De Drakan; who offered hope, unity and power to the armies of Mankind. He lead them forth across the Galaxy, to the new Chronosian Homeworlds.
In his Name
The Emperor united mankind as never before. Gifted with psychic abilities and driven by determination; he founded the Imperium and allowed the armies to become the Imperial Guard.
From his own DNA he created the Primarchs, legendary warriors of insurmountable power, leaders of the great Space Marine chapters, and with the Marine Chapters he set out to unite the galaxies, and mankind.
Spread between the vast Chronosian homeworld and the stars and planets of the Hydran Kingdom; The Imperium maintains order on roughly a dozen worlds; each guided by the pure light of the Emperors wisdom. Defended from within and without by loyal Imperial Guard and Space Marines, and the ever present Imperial Navy; the future of mankind is assured.
Born of Conflict
Recently the Chronosian Imperium has faced several challenges.
The first came when it chose to support the Unified Sith in their war with Coreworlds; becoming involved in a war that eventually won them the Hydran Kingdoms, but lost them most of Battlefleet Chronosia. The fierce space fighting resulted in the destruction of the planets Dalter and Xenex before the Chronosian forces were forced back and defeated by the Federal Union and her allies. As a result a huge neutral zone exists between the two nations; each side building defences and awaiting the day when one will attack the other.
The second is the ground war that the Imperium has entered against Ybronneb. Enraged by Ybronneb's violently anti-AI protests, the Chronosian Emperor sent the Angelus Invictus, wing of the Inquisition and the Chapter of his son, Remiel, to begin the assault.. After fighting off the brutal Ybronnebian counterstrike; Remiel was preparing his plans when an unintentional orbital bombardment from Mekanta shattered the peace; and sent Remiel to rally his remaining troops; pushing forward to cleanse, purge and kill.
The Seeds of Chaos
The Chronosian Imperiums greatest enemy is the threat of Chaos and Heresy. As of yet the Imperium has largely avoided the clutches of Chaos, but recent contact and verbal sparring with the Dark Eldar of Commoragh could prove to be a darkening of times for the glory of the Imperium.
The Sith Wars
The Chronosian Imperium has taken an active role in the Sith Wars; be it invading TFU to distract them from the Coreworldian Plight, or aiding in the assault on Weyr itself. Prepared for further conflict, the Hydran kingdom rings with the sounds of war and its preparations. It is also rumored that the Sith Lord Primarch; Chronos, faced the wrath of two jedi upon a Pentovan transport and escaped, bloodied but with his hunger for battle temporarily sated. The Imperium's devotion to the Sith would continue through the Fall, and down through the dark decades of war and tyranny that marked the end of the First and Beginning of the Second Age of Imperium.
The Fall
The Chronosian Imperium has fallen; in a single master blow; focussing images and messages in psychic form, the Gods of Chaos tore into the heart of the Imperium and remade its greatest warriors. The Legions, now corrupted, drive forward with the power of the Ruinous Powers; determined to retake the Hydran System, cut off from the heart and ripe for overthrow. With the great armaments of the industrial core of the Imperium; they will begin their vast crusade. The New divisions of Space Marine legions, is as follows:
- Remiel and the Angelus Invcitus; henceforth known as the Angelus Ater, swear allegience to Slaanesh
- Lucian and the Imperial Fangs; henceforth known as the Envenemed Fang; swear allegience to Nurgle.
- Cabot and the Lone Wolves; henceforth known as Wolfsbane; swear allegience to Khorne.
- Gabriel and the Fallen Angels; henceforth known as Ascendent Daemons; swear allegience to Chaos Undivided.
- Chronos and the Imperium's hand; henceforth known as the Black Fist; swear alliegence to Tzeentch (Now led by Severino Jeriacor)
- Hakar and the Blood Furies, swear allegience to Khorne
- Radu and the Rabid Seraphim, swear allegience to Khorne
- Archon Lash and the Black Order swear allegience to Chaos Undivided.
The Second Age
The Second Age of the Imperium began with the demise of Remiel de Drakan, killed by Daniel Masaki in mortal combat. As his soul drifted within the Warp, Remiel was touched by the might of the Gods, who saw a pawn far too valuable to simply allow to die. Remiel was reborn into the realm of flesh, usurping that which existed already, twisting and warping an unborn child. Ripping forth from the womb, he laid waste to the system of his rebirth, before heading home, only to murder his Father, the Emperor.
Ascendant upon the Throne, Remiel declared it the beginning of a new Era. The Second Age of the Imperium
Glory to the Imperium
In the light of Emperor Palpatine's death, the Sith Lady Nightshade was appointed as Emperor in his stead. However, the Thrashian Empire was not pleased with this turn of events; and thus prepared to overthrow the Sith, appraching the Imperium itself for aid. Lord Lucian, first amongst Emperor Remiel's trusted, reported this both to his Master and to the Lady Nightshade; resulting in the unfortunate fracas of the Thrashian War and the Second Galactic Civil War. Thrashia's homeworld was destroyed; while the Imperium was assaulted by a vanguard force of the GFFA.
It was at this time that Remiel approached Nightshade; highlighting her failings, her flaws; and demanding that she step down in favor of a better ruler. Him.
She accepted; the throne of the Empire fell to Chronosia; and peace was offered to those who warred with her; peace that would guarantee time for the Empire to rebuild, restructure and remold itself into a new, more powerful force. The Galactic Senate is once again convened; the Coreworlds seem set to be reunited; and many wonder now about the motives of this mysterious Emperor; one who has defied death and tradition; and set out to reshape the galaxy itself.
