Delegate is a city in north-eastern Errinundera. Well, perhaps not. There is some dispute whether it lies within the nation's borders. Even the Delegations don't seem to know where the border is. Furthermore, no-one has a clue what nation lies over the border. So, until some other polity claims Delegate as their own, it is deemed to be within Errinundera.
Located between the Delegate River, which flows northwards from the Errinundera Plateau, and Mount Delegate, it is renowned for its alpine ash, Eucalyptus delegatensis, whose botanical type is named after the region.
A major city in the fertile foodbowl that is the northeastern region of Delegate, it has still managed to retain its forest character. Although the residents don't live in housetrees they continue to honour a sacred tree named RAKERB, a fine example of alpine ash.
With city, region, river, mountain and tree species all sharing the same name, other Errinundrians think of Delegations as being somewhat unimaginative.
