The Empire of Dominicath is a militaristic paradise. It is located on a large, round island in the East Pacific, near North America. The island was settled on in the year 1605 by a group of English sailors trying to chart a map of the Pacific Ocean. They landed on the island to explore it's deep jungles, and decided to make camp inside of the jungles for tonight. However, when they awoke the next morning, they found that their ship had mysteriously disappeared.

It was assumed that the sailors had died, but they had actually created a camp inside a cave on the island which woulds someday be Dominicath. This camp would eventually grow into a small village near the cave's entrance. This village then became a town. The sailors had become settlers. Dominicath had been born.

At first, the town was called New London. For an unknown reason, the town was renamed Alken. Alken was cut off from the rest of the world for nearly a hundred years, until a second group of sailors arrived with the same intention; to chart a map of the Pacific Ocean. The sailors offered to take the Alken people back to England, but they refused. Instead, the sailors returned to England, and told the monarchy about Alken. Thus, Dominicath's first trade line was opened.

England traded technology to Alken in exchange for natural resources from the island, mostly lumber. By cutting down the jungle trees, Alken was able to expand it's borders. As the years passed, Alken continued to grow until it was almost as large as London itself. They also began trading with the newly formed neighboring nation, America. In the year 1805, the king of Alken, King James Browning III renamed the Kingdom of Alken, to the Kingdom of Dominicath. No one knows why James decided to rename Alken, but the people approved.

However, their approval of him and his bloodline wouldn't last forever.

The Revolution

In 1942, the Kingdom of Dominicath was in crisis. It's resources were beginning to run dry. Half of the island was covered in an urban landscape, causing a shortage on limber and food. Due to all of Dominicath's trade partners being involved in World War II, they were unable to spare anything. Famine ravaged the land. The growth of the kingdom had come to a halt.

Queen Dorothy Browning promised her people that a golden age was coming, but they refused to listen to her. Unruly citizens began plotting to overthrow the queen. Most of them were quickly revealed, arrested, and executed by the Royalist Army, but the real threat was rooted much deeper into the ground. Dorothy's financial advisor, Coryln Lon, was plotting to create a new nation.

The kingdom was falling before everyone's eyes. Riots raged across the capital city of Alken, and several people were arrested for plotting terrorist acts against the kingdom. At this point, Dorothy was desperate for help. She trusted all of her assets with her life, which would lead to her downfall.

Rise of the Empire

By 1943, Dominicath was devoured by civil war. Dozens of rebel factions emerged who were dedicated to dethroning Queen Browning. The Royalist Army declared martial law across the entire county, though Alken was the only city where the martial law was enforced. The rest of Dominicath's cities were abandoned by the Royalist Army. Even the police forces were beginning to disband.

The Royal Palace, a tall brick building where the royal family lived, was heavily guarded by the Royalists. Everyone thought that the rebels would attack from the outside. They never thought about an attack from the inside. Coryln Lon provided rebel factions with disguises to infiltrate the building. In exchange for this, he asked for one thing; that they plant explosive charges throughout the palace, and detonate them as soon as he gives the word.

The rebels kept their end of the bargain. Rebels disguised as Royalists planted charges on the key structural points of the building. Coryln left the palace on foot, not giving anyone an explanation to where he was going, or even telling anyone he was leaving. Once he left, the rebels detonated the charges.

The first floor of the building exploded. The Royal Palace collapsed on top of itself. The entire royal family had been murdered, just as Coryln had planned. Along with the destruction of the palace, the kingdom has also been destroyed. Anarchy reigned for two days. The Royalist Army aimlessly patrolled Alken City for days, waiting for orders.

And those orders came.

Coryln gathered the entire Royalist Army at the ruins of the palace. The soldiers were then ordered to hunt down all individuals associated with the rebels, and execute them. Although thr kingdom's financial advisor has no authority over the Royalist Army, at this point, the Royalists were willing to take orders from anybody. Just as he betrayed the kingdom, Coryln had betrayed the rebels. Within a week, ninety-percent of the traitors had been executed by the Royalist Army. Coryln then began a massive reformation of the government of Dominicath. Instead of a bloodline that would rule, a council would rule, and all the members of that council would answer to a single man. An emperor. The Empire of Dominicath had arrived.

After restoring peace to his country, Emperor Lon turned the Royalist Army into the Imperial Army. All the generals and admirals of the Imperial Army were invited into the Council of Commanders, a council that would decide all decisions relating to foreign and security affairs. A second council was also formed, the Council of Citizens, that would make all decisions relating to urban planning.
