Goal

The goal of the Democratic Mingling of Dwarves and Elves is to bridge the gap between dwarves and elves in a just and inoppressive way. In mingling the two races in an unpressured society, we hope to unite the races enought to breed a new race: the dwelf. With the precision and speed of an elf and the strength of a dwarf, the dwelf will be the ultimate fighting machine. Once Dwarves and Elves breeds an army of dwelves, they will conquer the world with ease.

DEbro

Dwarves and Elves houses the organization of DEbro: the Dwarven-Elven Brotherhood. Each new citizen of Dwarves and Elves is taken to the DEbro dojo where they are taught respect and love for the opposite race. They are also taught to fight skillfully with their own race's weapons and the opposite's. Equally important to DEbro is philosophy and the honing of young minds. And, of course, there is the ever-present interracial bedroom where any who wish to breed with the opposite race is welcome. It has remained empty thus far, but DEbro and the government of Dwarves and Elves is hopeful. DEbro was co-founded by Raku Vedui and Lufgif of Tirion and is currently headed by Raku Merfoxx.

Flag

The nation's flag contains the crest of DEbro set on a black background. The crest, an axe crossed with a bow, represents our goal of unifying dwarves and elves. The crest is set on a black background for no particular reason, and this may change to something more symbolic.

Regions

Dwarves and Elves has been in three notable regions to date. The Free Lands of Middle-Earth, DEbro, and the Magical lands of Faeries. Dwarves and Elves joined Middle-Earh at the invitation of The People of Gondor, but left to found DEbro and advance its cause. Together with The Lands of Vedui and The Republic of OldZealand, DEbro flourished. But in time both other nations ceased to exist. Dwarves and Elves moved on to The Magical Land of the Faeries, where it currently and happily resides.

Prominent families

Five prominent families exist in Dwarves and Elves: The Raku, the Tirionians, the Ironbeards, the Daegons and the Oldzealanders.

The Raku are the oldest elven family in the nation. They can trace their roots as far back as Raku Oroma, who was the father of Raku Vedui. They are known for their good looks, their ability with magic, and their somewhat unorthodox choice of weapon: the Katana. The Raku magicians were the deciding factor Dwarves and Elves' battle for independence from The Free Lands of Middle-Earth. They are still thriving today.

The Tirionians are the oldest dwarven family in the nation. They can trace their roots as far back as Lufgif of Tirion, co-founder of DEbro. Lufgif befriended Vedui and brought his family with him to Dwarves and Elves to escape oppression in Tirion. The name Lufgif then became a popular name in the family. Their metalworking abilities are renowned throughout the region and they craft almost everything metal in the nation.

The Ironbeards are a dwarven family whose fierce ability to fight instills fear in all their foes. They are employed both as students and guardians of the various DEbro dojos so as to ward off enemies. They can trace their roots as far back as Throhg Ironbeard. An Ironbeard, Skulkaba Ironbeard, once singlehandedly saved DEbro from destruction. A goblin spy had been allowed into a DEbro dojo and was going to report the information he had gathered to his nation, which would've led to a full-scale invasion. Skulkaba tracked him down under the cover of night and valiantly slayed him.

The Daegons are an elven family who are sort of a jack-of-all-trades. They teach their children magic, bowmanship, swordsmanship, hunting, tracking, and athleticism. Their oldest ancestor, Daegon, wandered into the land, tired and hungry. He was taken in by the Raku and nursed back to health. Ever grateful, he pledged himself to the land and the Raku. Daegon ended up marrying Raku Ledea, so technically the Daegon family are half-Raku. In exchange for bringing the skills that the Daegons possessed into Dwarves and Elves, The Raku taught the Daegons all they had to teach.

The Oldzealanders are the youngest elven family in the nation. They emigrated from their remote island of OldZealand, which was constantly plagued by Viking invaders, in search of a better land. They found Dwarves and Elves. The Oldzealanders are fearsome markselves. In their old land they were taught the necessary skill of using arrows to snap Viking javelins midflight. They can see great distances and are quicker than any family, elf or not, alive. They have also bred to some extent with the Daegons to create the Phoenix family. They combined their skills to create a powerful weapon. The Phoenix light their arrowhead which unquenchable fire and fire them with deadly accuracy. The bowmen of the Oldzealanders saved Dwarves and Elves from a terrible fate when Fwredv the dragon pillaged Dwarves and Elves. Five Oldzealanders used arrows to blind the dragon, and then jumped up onto the dragon and slashed its throat. Because of this the Oldzealanders are also called the Dragonslayers.

Motto

Dwarves and Elves' motto is 'Coniunctis viribus,' which means 'With united powers.'
