The nation of Free-Armsdonia is an ancient, enviromentally friendly nation, renowned for it's punitive income tax rates. It has been mostly run by left or centre-left politics since it's inception as an independent, democratic nation in 1886, except for 10 dark years between 1953 and 1963 when it was virtually taken over by a fascist regime, during the great Free-Armsdonian Civil war.

History
Free-Armsdonia has existed in one form or another since 900BC, when several warlords in the area now known as Free-Armsdonia decided to form a loose confederation to defend themselves against other, stronger warlords. However, the land was conquered by the Ruman Empire in 406BC, notorious for also conquering the nation of Freedonia, among many others.
After the collapse of the Ruman empire in 300AD, the nation of Free-Armsdonia once again became an area of squabbling warlords, until King Rufus the Wise defeated the major warlords in 1300AD and united the nation.
The Free-Armsdonian nation progressed as a stable monarchy for many years, until 1886, when numerous strikes and riots forced the government to hand over power to the people.
Life continued peacefully for many years, until 1937, with the rise of the racist 'Alliance' group, who believed that all non-Free-Armsdonians should be killed. They grew in popularity and established strongholds, and there were many violent incidents, until 1943 when the country descended into complete civil war, split between the Alliance with their 'Black Helmet' soldiers, and the Republic with its 'White Helmets'.
The war was one of the bloodiest the world has ever known, with terrible atrocities committed by both sides, notably the Republic's acid attacks on the town of Trail, and the Alliance's carpet bombing of the town of Queue.
The war constantly raged for over 40 years, with the Alliance controlling the majority of the country between 1953 and 1963. But finally, in 1990,the remnants of the Alliance signing a peace treaty with the Republic, ending the war. Yet some hardline groups within the Alliance broke away and formed their own group, the National People's Front (NPF).
Since the Free-Armsdonian Civil War, the only war that has arisen is the Cool! War with the nation of Raptse, which broke out in 2007 after reports that they were funding the NPF.
Environment
Free-Armsdonia is renowned as an environmentally friendly nation, with its lush forests home to a whole host of creatures, including the famous killer cow. The killer cow, due to its aggressive nature, has often been hunted as a pest, but strict government regulation has ensured its survival.
Free-Armsdonia's environment is the centre of its tourist industry, with thousands visiting every month.
Military
Despite its terrible past, Free-Armsdonia's military is one of the largest in the world, with over 100 million troops. It has annexed many nations with it, including various collapsed states within Civfanatica. Free-Armsdonian parades are famed throughout the world, with thousands coming to see the Great Ernieville Parade every year.
Government
Free-Armsdonia has, for the most part, been a democratic country. The nation is divided up into 50,000 regions of around 100,000 people each, and each region elects a representative to the 'Jakaret'. There are separate elections for the Grand Turkey, Free-Armsdonia's equivalent of a president, who holds the power to declare a state of emergency, and to convene an emergency meeting of the 'Krashna', or cabinet, with whom's backing he can declare war. The current Grand Turkey is Grand Turkey Ernie, who has won every election since his appointment in 1992. Elections for the Jakaret are held every 3 years, and elections for the Grand Turkey every 5.
