History
Dependence Day
On this day (Saturday, December 11, 2004), the nation and government of Gnidrah were officially founded. Gnidrah was named after the preexisting Gnidrah University, which played a major role in the forming of a formal government, and establishing its leader.
The nation was initially a breakaway colony (Free Cupertino) of the nation 1 Infinite Loop. The colony gained its independence from its native nation in 1863. Before its establishment as a nation, the colony council realized the need for an emperor, found the closest living relation to the 1 Infinite Loop emperor, and appointed him emperor of the newly-formed nation.
The emperor was a student at Gnidrah University at the time, and was a prince of his homeland. Matthew Richardson took on the role as emperor, on December 11, 2004, thus finalizing the formation of the new nation and government of Gnidrah.
Emperor
Matthew Richardson, a second-year college student, at the time, became emperor of Gnidrah when he was only 19 years of age. The emperor is now currently 21 years of age. As stated above, he is the closest living relation to the 1 Infinite Loop emperor. He was elected one year later, on December 10, 2005, becoming the first elected emperor of Gnidrah.
Delegate
Nicholas Richardson, the emperor's older brother, became delegate of the East Pacific on May 11, 2006. Richardson officially took office on May 25, 2006, when his predecessor of 1 Infinite Loop officially completed his three-year reign as delegate.
