History
Beginning as a small nation in the East Pacific, the Helghan Colonial Force hated their home region and their neighbours. Reaching out to space, the Colonials colonised the planet of Atarr and renamed it to Helghast Colony 101. Here they grew into a powerful and deeply militaristic society, conformity and uniformity are expected of all subjects.
Soon, however, a group of natives were discovered and subsumed into the Colonial Force. In time the Colonial leader became friendly with the natives leader, the masochistic and occultist, Karl Ruprecht Kroenen. Kroenen was granted a planet of his own along with his followers and became the Disputed territories of Kroenen Followers.
Government
The Helghan Colonial Force is ruled over by their cruel dictator Cetanu Guan'thwei. Political freedoms are outlawed and civil rights are few. Anyone who speaks out against Lord Marshall Cetanu are executed.

Military
The Colonial army is a massively powerful war machine, the largest in the region. At the age of 16, male colonists leave school and join a Military Acadamy. After staying there for 4 years, the colonist has a choice:join the army or get a job outside of the military. All male colonists who don't join the armed forces are kept as reserves in case the Colony is invaded.
The Ground Armies have a total current man power of 1,000,000 th navy has total manpower of 100,000 and the Air Cavalry has a total manpower of 200,000. Only 250,000 of the ground forces are Toukons, with the entire Air Cavalry being Colonists. However the Naval Forces have 85,000 Toukon personnel as the Toukon planet is covered mostly in water and all Toukons turn out to be excellent Naval Force members. The Kroenen Followers don't contribute at all to the Colonial Union Army, but are hired as assassins and the genetically created 'Räuber' super-soldiers are used to severly weaken enemy morale.
