Description: Ide Jima is home to some of the tallest mountain regions in Europa. The central plateau is in places exceeding the 9500-metre mark. These areas are barren, and some places are too high up even for the nomadic herdsmen of the central plateau.

In the north are the Taishan ranges, a massive igneous intrusion formed hundreds of millions of years ago. The slopes of these mountains are very fertile, but remain volcanically active to this day. The gigantic Darhan reservoir is cradled by a gap in these mountains. To the south of the central plateau are four separate mountain ranges, the most northeasterly is known as the Turfan range. Shaped like a back to front h these mountains form the most spectacular scenery in Ide Jima. The two southernmost ranges are home mostly to Ide Jiman military testing, whilst the northwestern most of the four are home to the nation’s highest peak; mount Luzon, which stands at an incredible 10,341m above sea level.

The coastal plains house most of the population, and are home to 95% of all agriculture and industry. The coastal areas are intensely cultivated, and the cities have a heavy focus on Industry. Following the collapse of communism, tourism industry is growing

-The controversial takeover of the ex-northern territories caused outcry, but no real dispute.

-The endless summer straits became a place of tension, when Ide Jiman plans to increase defensive measures in the region became too much for other nations. Ide Jima eventually backed down, but maintains a strong navy presence in the area, due to the strategic location of the straits.
