International Reform Act

The International Reform Act was passed by the Pilot Senate Assembly on April 1, 2005. It withdrew all government funds (which totaled almost five hundred million dollars) from the Pilot United Nations News Service (or, as it was commonly known as, PUNNS), which opponents had called a "microcosm of government waste and the apex of buerocracy". It replaced PUNNS with the Alliance for Reform and Values in the NationStates United Nations (ARVNSUN), a smaller organization with a more efficent plan of action and more government funds.
Other minor impacts were restrictions on trading in small industries with certain nearby nations. For example, a ban on fishing imports from Edolia was instituted.
