The invasion of Kahanistan was the first counteroffensive by The Kraven Corporation against the Anti-Kraven Alliance, namely against Kahanistan, which had openly defied the Consortium and condemned them for the craven attempt to murder AKA delegates who refused to sign a grossly unfair treaty.

Kahanistan had not sent a representative to the treaty signing, wishing to eradicate the Consortium from the earth. While invasion made offensive operations virtually impossible, Kahanistan leaders believed that the draining of Consortium resources on their nation would prevent or deter imperialist attacks elsewhere. With their WMD arsenal, most leaders believed a respectable resistance to AMF was possible.

The first exchange of fire was at the sea north of Al-Bahr, Kahanistan's lone port city. The majority of the Kahanistan Navy was gathered to resist the Freekish armada. While several large Freekish warships were sunk and others severely damaged by the warships and accompying heavy MiG support, the Kahanistan fleet commanded by Defense Minister Abdul-Rahman bin Muhammad was almost annihilated with no losses among the Freekish Doujins or other heavy vessels. The Kahanistan Navy pulled its remaining ships to shore to serve as auxiliaries to the weak 155mm coastal defense batteries, which, while effective against destroyers and landing craft, were utterly useless against larger warships.

The main force of 200,000 Republic Guards retreated under the Freekish artillery barrages, leaving a force of only 10,000 troops to slow down the Freekish advance. They waited for the Freekish Sentinels to arrive in force, then released several tons of VX nerve gas onto them. The enraged Freekish commanders retaliated by unleashing conventional, biological, and chemical ordnance onto Al-Bahr and its garrison of 100,000 Republic Guards. The city's infrastructure was overwhelmed by civilian casualties and the city degenerated into anarchy. Over a million troops poured in, but under the artillery of the Freeks decided to adopt a scorched-earth policy, rigging VX barrels to explode throughout the largely-evacuated city and pulling most of their troops to Najaster from other cities.

While the destruction was going on, the government fled to Xirnium while the military continued to fight. Kahanistan leaders decided to turn Kraven and AMF against each other. The plan was for a brigade of Kahanistan Imperial Marines to wear captured Kraven Capitol Police armor from the Invasion of Xirnium and make Kraven-like demands of the Freeks. The plan was to provoke the Freeks into attacking Kraven, but when the Freekish detachment commander attempted to verify the identity of the Kahanistan commander, the troops fired on the radio and soldiers and beat a hasty retreat, having succeeded only in triggering an international incident between AMF and Kraven that resulted in no military conflict.

Shortly thereafter, most of the remaining Kahanistan population left the country under the encouragement of General al-Ghazi, who wanted all who remained to be willing to fight to the death. Considered insane by many in the military, he was deserted by almost all of his seasoned commanders, including General Valens, whose fifty years of experience as a pilot and commander made him nearly indispensable to any serious anti-AMF resistance. Left with only about 1.5 million troops and 10 million armed civilians, he outfitted them all with the best remaining weapons and prepared to make a stand.

But Kahanistan President Mohammed bin Yusuf al-Za'if surrendered to Azrael the Advocate on December 2, 2005. Kraven attended the peace talks, and foolishly admitted to Azrael that the Freekish military had been used as cannon fodder by the Consortium. While Kahanistan did not ally with AMF, they did take an active position in fighting with the Kraven, expelling them from the nation in the Battle of Najaster.
