The Republic of Jefferson-California is an automomous zone under The Stainless Banner. It is comprised of several counties that retained their governments after the rest of the country went into anarchy.
History
Jefferson-California was the last conquest of the Confederacy, annexed and added to Los Angeles State after the Thrid War Between the States, and as such never went for anarchy. After the Conferate government closed shop, several counties kept their local governments,

Politics
All the counties of Jefferson-Calfornia act independently, though mostly always in accord, and they only act as counties, and not countries or even states. There is no large movement in Jefferson-California to reunite it with the United States.
