The Confederate Anarchy of the Stainless Banner, also called the Stainless Confederacy or Greater Dixie, is a mutualist anarchy located from Central North America to Central America, and has one state (Cuba) in the Carribean.
At just over 9 million km^2, it is the forth largest country by area, and the world's largest anarchy.

Name
The name "Confederacy of the Stainless Banner" went into use after the annexation of Mexico, however, it is mostly described by its former official name, the Confederate States of America.
History

The Stainless Confederacy stared life as seven states that seceded from the United States in 1860-1861, which soon became eleven with the outbreak of the First War Between the States, which ended after the Battle of Manassas, and the Southern occupation of Washington, D.C., which in turn led to the Treaty of Richmond, where more states were added.
The South prospered under the industrializing efforts of the Lee Administration and the final manumission of its slaves by the Jackson administration.
It eventually joined the Quadruple Entente and then won the Second War Between the States, annexing anarchist Mexico.
In the inter-war years, the country was temporarily slit in half due to the flooding on the Mississippi, which was fixed quickly by President Long, which led to an amendment to the Confederate Constitution, letting Long keep running and giving the country to him until the ‘50s.
When Northern dictator Gerald Winrod asked for the return to the North of West Virginia, President Long said yes. When Winrod asked for Los Angeles, though, Long refused.
This led to the Third War Between the States, which resulted in another Confederate victory, and the formation of NATO and the UN, both of which the South didn’t join. It did join,however, NATO’s anarchist counterpart, Anarchist International.
Cuba had an extremely short Communist rebellion, and the Philippines, Puerto Rico, and (after a short coup) Nicaragua became independent of the Confederacy to become anarchies.
The Confederate Civil Rights Movement was in the ‘60s, which resulted in the Voting Rights Act (after race riots that were almost a rebellion).
When Iranians seized Confederates in their embassy, President Carter sent in the troops, and took Supreme Leader Ruhollah Khomeini, who was shot and mutilated. Confederate troops took Iran in less then year.
When Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein asked if he could have Iran, the South flicked him off. Iraq invaded Iran, and then the South invaded Iraq. When Hussein gassed Southrons, Presdient Jerry Brown nuked Bagdad.
The Confederacy position in the world increased with the great influx of new anarchies to AI, however it has not reached the level of a superpower like China, and it also has weakened significantly due to the unification of the European Union.
Politics
Being an anarchy, there is no politics in the real sense of the word. Law and order is taken care of by local vigilante groups, and several hotel corporations have outfitted some of their buildings to make prisons. Educations is handled by a combination of home-schooling, private, and collective schools. There are no taxes of the usual sort. There is the choice of putting any amount of money in special bank accounts, which are used to pay for anyone who would have a goverment jobs (mailman, firemen, public workers, etc.) Putting money into these accounts usually results in getting large coupons, or gift cards from a variety of stores.
Foreign relations are taken care of by randomly selected volenteers, who act according to nation-wide polls (usually taken by the country's most influential magazine, Fuck the Man). When it is required, a randomly-selected volenteer can become (temporarily) Mascot, who can sign treaties and make speeches.
Several local government still exist in the country, the largest being the Leesburg City Counsil, and the largest concentration being in Northern California.

Military
The military of the Confederacy is mostly made up of unorganized local militias, which make up 90% of its manpower, and military companies (chiefly the Tredegar Weapons Co., Norfolk Shipyards, Dallas Aeronautics, and Birmingham Defense Inc.), who make up most, if not all, of its heavy equipment (tanks, artillery, ships, jets, etc.) The militias can bedescribed also as law enforcement, and are usually the ones who respond to a problem. The military companies provide law and order with advanced and expensive technology, like forensics equipment or armored cars. Heavy weapons squads are also controlled by these companies.
