The Serene Isle of La Voile is a beautiful nation. Dotted with temperate woodland, La Voile is made up of three Provinces, its capital, San Iskandar lies in the southern province of Gallica. Castile, in the Northern province of Iberia is where the royal family of Dukes reside. Finally the capital of the eastern province of Riviere is Aurillac, situated on the eastern coast. La Voile is the greatest producer of wine, olive oil and cheese in the region. La Voile has a reputation for snobbery but this is on the whole unfounded, though it might be fostered by the large number of fashion houses centred in San Iskandar. The southern beaches are some of the greatest in Noxidom. The central mountains, while not as spectacular as the Arbiter Mountain Range on the continent, it still provides spectacular skiing in the winter, and the mountains contain the Isle’s highest point, Mont Bleu which lies at 4120m above sea level.
La Voile is divided from its continental neighbour, CoPigs, by the Median Islands. Its national animal, the neon-zebra (Equus pulchrissima) was almost hunted to extinction 200 years ago, but it was then put on the protected species list. It now is a regular sight in any of La Voile's large open plains. The national flower is the Magnolia grandaflora, a flower, which when open has a diameter of 15cm.
Native Voilean is a language which has spread to several nations in Noxidom including Rappel and Enrouler, as it is easy to learn. Most of the population are multi-lingual, a direct result of a government sponsored initiative.
Its current president is President Alessandro Amore, who gained the position in general elections 5 years ago, he was re-elected last year. His vice-president is Jacques Deuxieme.
After being re-elected the government entered into an alliance with the UFA, but the populace are beginning to become disgruntled with this as the alliance has not yet benefited La Voile in any major way, and it looks like it will only drag La Voile into a second regional war, just as the nation was getting over the war with Leumah.
