The Free lands of Langarra

History: The Langarri civilization was built from the ashes of the Persian society which existed before it. After the brief violence lead by Milad Ushtra was subdued and the UN began to bring peace to the region many of the Old Persian people left the area. However, those who stayed became nomads traveling from one corner of the UN zone to the next, never settling. Finally, at some point in time months after Persia fell the people of the area began to come together as a society. They built several small villages and one city, their capital, which they call Kheb. If asked, a Langarri will tell you that it was the council of Twelve which showed them the way to a civilized lifestyle however strangely enough no one has ever seen the Council in person.

Ethnic Groups: The Langarri do not believe in divisions of society such as racial, gender, or social division. All Langarri are considered equal and as such all are treated with equal respect. It is greatly frowned upon to treat anyone anyway other than how you yourself would wish to be treated.

Religions: Though the Langarri are free to practice any religion that so please, most chose not to believe in a religion at all and instead follow a set of ideals, which almost entirely resemble the ideals of Theosophy. When asked why they prefer this way of thinking, most Langarri would response like so:

Religion in a concrete idea of which no one within the religion question, and thus follows that train of thought without question. History has shown us that this blind devotion has lead civilization to war and even the brink of destruction. However, as in science, an idea is freely questioned and improved upon with each passing day. As such it is easier to believe in an idea, for if it is wrong it can easily be changed to be more correct.

Government:

Council of Twelve: The government of Langarra is solely controlled by the mysterious Council of Twelve. No one has ever seen nor stood in on a meeting of the council of twelve other than the first minister whom is their voice to the people. Everything the council decides is considered law and is not questioned by anyone within the Langarri society. Because of the Council secret nature, to the outside world the first minister is the only official close enough to be considered a "physical" leader to the nation.

First Minister: The First Minister is the spokesperson for the Council of Twelve. Everything that is decided by the council is told to the public by the First Minister. Some outside the Langarri society speculate that the First Minister is in fact the sole leader of Langarra and that the Council of Twelve is just a ploy to disguise the true dictatorship, which runs the nation. However no one within the Langarri society questions the existence of the Council of Twelve and thus the First Minister is not treated as anyone more special than the average Langarri.
