Lexington SC officially became a nation in 1943, when it achieved independance from New-Lexington. In 1944 the capital was moved form Columbia to Lexington. In 1946, following rocket attacks on it's southwestern border, Lexington invaded its smaller neighbor of Arlibastan. In a short 4 month war, Lexingon layed waste on its tiny neighbor, before eventually destroying its capital city of Irmo. Arlibastan was officially incorporated into Lexinton SC as a state in 1951. In 1955 Lexington again became invovled in a conflict with yet another small nation, Zychibastan. After massing nearly 1 million troops on the border, the Zychib government surrendered and has been occupied (incorporated as a state 1977) ever since.
