The Haru have for over four hundred years, existed beyond the scope and the domain of other nations and have never complied with any outside form of governing body, nor restrictions of any kind. The kind of freedoms, that are enjoyed by the citizenry at large is of such a decadent nature, that most of what is done is considered highly immoral and or illegal in any of the so called civilized nations of today.

As mentioned above, the Haru citizenry are a product of not only the savage past, but the apathetic modern world. Joined at the hip to the Cussians through decades of violence, one cannot exist without the other it would seem, no matter how hard they have tried to prove otherwise, The Principality brings a lust of the dark things in life, a taste of modern savagery unseen in many a nation, much less experienced.

The Haru has the feel of a Monocracy, but is basically founded on Social-Darwinist principles: survival of the fittest. The Haru have for the most part(there have been exceptions), never tried to convert, persuade or even manipulate opponents: they simply execute them them or imprison them in concentration camps. In this fashion, The Principality is a never ending spiral of violence and death.

The citizenry are encouraged to be violent, cruel and fanatic to the cause of the government. Haru society has systematically trimmed it's citizenry to become merciless soldiers and brutal colonialists, just like the British and French in the late 19th century.

A comfortable life or not, the subjects of this monstrous political experiment, the Haruspex citizens, has to endure the strange ideas and whims of the ruling elite. They can not escape. In this way, The Principality is truly a totalitarian society: The Haruspex government controlls all societal and social functions. All clubs, organisations, associations and communities — however trivial — are politicised.

For instance, it was compulsory for a boy to join Waelin Glennen when 10-14 years old and Ulin Sargtlinen when 14-18 years old, followed by labour service and military service. As an adult, this now indoctrinated citizen is expected to join one or more organisations of a political, military or professional nature.

The Haru citizen is expected to be obedient and accomodating. Creativity and imagination are only encouraged within certain fields, mainly military and industrial. Other individual initiatives are usually surpressed. The Dominion society, is organised like a military organistaion: obedience and exactitude are concidered more valuable than creativity and finess. Art and culture are completely institutionalised: every book, play, movie, radio program, television program, music tune, statue and painting are filtered through various propaganda institutions. Needless to say, the quality of the culture as viewed by others has been said to have been poor.

However, the military technology is only surpassd by a high end medical research and developmental field which has accelerated in the past few years. Medical science and the research is also apart of the military, thus ensuring that the legions have the very best in technology when dealing with wounds and so forth. This also allows the medical research to be included in the massive budget that is allocated to defense.

The Flag of the Haruspex and what it means.

The flag of the Haruspex is to portray what has happened and what will happen. The red shows the blood of the Haru that died protecting the Principality. The black arrows and outline mean death of enemies that will spread like a plague. And the white outlines show the Haru spirit and honor. Another meaning for the white colors outlining the black arrows mean that the Haru are responsible for their enemies's death.

Composing the various branches of the military are Houses, massive armies wielded under individual banners of whom all swear fealty to the ruling bloodline.

Mzil Velven Conscripts. What other nations might refer to as " weekend warriors." They are no less vital and usually tasked with occupational duty, unless needed otherwise. They also perform the vital function of operating MASH units and other medical needs. They are composed of infantry, light-medium armor, and medical/mechanical services.

Buki Elghinn The first and foremost in any fight. They are the ground forces, and conventional armor as well as mechanized legionnaire deployment sections. The fashion of the Haru ability to blitzkrieg their troops in large numbers is due to the high amount of the Buki Elghinn. They constitute nearly thirty percent of the total military population.

Bel'la Kyorl Much like the Elghinn, the Bel'la Kyorl are a major component of the ground warfare. They are primarily artillery, anti-aircraft, anti-armor both mobile and not.

Sargtlin Velven Specialists. Equivlent in training to the Rangers. They are full legion sized, and entire regiments are dispatched with other legions to serve as secondary deployable forces for commanding officers.

Renor Elemmiire Special Forces. Of the ability of say the SAS. They are paratroopers first and foremost and capable of securing advanced positions, or creating them. Composed of both highly trained infantry, and that of the combat engineer.

Olath Shar Special Forces. Twin to the Renor Elemmiire. They are paratroops as well, however, they are the para-tankers. Light and medium airdroppable armor, APC's and others are their primary focus. They are able to assist the engineers with bridge work, and or aid in defensive/offensive manuevers requiring heavier weaponry then standard infantry possess.

Renor Xukuth Secret Police. They are also the equivlent of Nazi Germany's Gestapo and the Waffen SS. They enforce the purity of Eugenic's that is handed down by the Executive Order and the Empress as well as those that come from the Olath Orn. They are the soldiers of the Executive Order, often these legionnaires are beholden to the ancient mythology that surrounds the empire that is The Principality.

Olath Orn If the Renor Xukuth are the visible fronts, then the Olath Orn are the lurking shadows under the bed, in the closet and any other dark place one can imagine. They are the SS of The Principality and a component of the Executive Order. The left hand of the Empress. These are beasts, true wolves of the night and the inky black of the fearful day. If the Haru are beasts, then these are the monsters. Everything that is inhumane, condemnable on every level and affront to all things pure, as described in any civilized nations handbook on evil, is done daily by the Olath Orn. They have existed for four hundred years as the guardians of the dark path that is walked by the Empress and they give no insight to what lay on that path exactly.

Tagnik Zun The Tagnik zun are the key to the Empress and Executive Order's power and in turn serve as elite shocktroops in corrospondence with other regular legionary units. Tagnik zun are trained from infancy on the provisional colony Salusa Secundus, unknown to the rest of the world perhaps save Beautancus. Salusa Secundus is home to the vicious training grounds of the Tagnik zun, who fight voraciously in a mock-up of natural selection - ensuring that only the best enter formal Imperial service. Unlike many armies of the free world, the intense difficulties of simply surviving the barren terrain and fellow populace on Salusa Secundus leave only the toughest alive.

Further, their training emphasizes ruthlessness and near-suicidal disregard for personal safety. In conjunction with intense conditioning for loyalty to the Empress which has been shown as zealotry in it's most simple form, Tagnik zun are estimated as worth ten times their number when compared to the regular soldiers. They follow the same orginizational setup under legions, each composed of ten brigades of roughly 30,000 soldiers each, and it is said that one legion alone can pacify any nation foolish enough to incur the Empress's wrath.
