The NPB was formed in 2007, after rebel Bostopian National Party members left the BNP, following arguments regarding the amount of money given to small business grants. However, many people believe the split was forced by Emperor Boston, to satisfy international onlookers that Bostopia operated a fair political system.
So far, the NPB have contested no elections, as the current Government does not have to call an election until 2009.
