Navya

The Democratic Republic Of Navya is a very new nation in comparison to other nations of its region. The nation was formed by a group of socialists which wanted there region, a environmentally rich area, to form a government which was until then an anarchy.

The government is based on socialist beliefs, but in the recent years various government companies have been privatized, this proves that the country's economic situation has been to changing in the recent years to become a capitalized country.

The region in its early years was often known to be a very poor place, extreme socialist ideas always took part in the regions economy, no currency existed in the region for a very long time. After years of such situation the region, which back then had a couple of thousands in population started receiving immigrants from all sorts of places. The immigrants found awkward the lack of currency, so they decided to create one, at first the currency was rarely used, specially by the indigenous population.

Several years passed with total lack of government, after the population started growing rapidly, so did crime rates, which got absurdly high, so then a a group of people decided to create a city government system in there village, the idea spread through out the region until they all decided to unite.

The government had difficulty deciding at first if the country would, or would not have a currency. After a food crises, the senate decided that we would need to import food, and to do so, they would need to adequate themselves to do such trades, so then the currency was officially formed, being called the Algier.

The country still had a high population growth and would so for several years afterwards. The government was not respected by most people, so it was decided that a Federal Police would be implemented to control its marginalized population, most results were not satisfactory until the present President took office. In his government he invested a large portion of the GDP in education, this at first, was widely criticized for being useless in crime control, and that the large portion of the GDP should be invested in law £ order. The results were extremely effective, this caused high population satisfactory.

Democratic Union

The Democratic Union(or D.U./DU) is a region formed out of Pink Floyd. They have a strong belief in all of the political philosophies. It is currently building itself up and has a strong Constitution.

Navya, a new nation to the region was well accepted. The nation joined the region do to the close proximity to the country, and for having very similar political ideals.

Government

The Democratic Republic of Navya is based on the indissoluble association of three autonomous political entities: the States, the Municipalities and the Federal District. A fourth entity is originated in the aforementioned association: the Union. There is no hierarchy among the political entities. The Federation is set on five fundamental principles: sovereignty, citizenship, dignity of the people, social value of labor, freedom of enterprise, and political pluralism.

The classic tripartite division of power, encompassing the Executive, Legislative and Judiciary branches under the checks and balances system, is formally established by the Constitution. The Executive and Legislative are organized independently in all four political entities, whilst the Judiciary is organized only in the Federal and State levels.

Practically all governmental and administrative functions are exercised by authorities and agencies affiliated with the Executive. The form of government is Republican and democratic, and the system of government is Presidential. The President is Head of State and Head of Government of the Union and is elected for a four-year term, with the possibility of re-election for a second successive term.

Cities

Most cities in Navya are located in the country´s shores. Although the government has tried several programs to enrich the central plateau, most of which were unsuccessful.

Navya city- considered a Megalopolis, has 18 million inhabitants. It is considered crucial for the country´s economy, because it boasts 20 per cent of the country's GDP. It is often reminded to be a very polluted city, and for having a huge car fleet in the roads daily, which causes major traffic jams commonly. Not only is the city capital of the country, its also home to Bonavsp, a major stock exchange.

Recife- one of the few inland cities, was artificially constructed. Projected to have a population of 5 million inhabitants, has had several urbanistic problems, much because of the intense population's growth it has suffered in the recent years, today it has a population of 9 million inhabitants with still an exaggerated growth rate. It is expected that in 5 months, Recife reaches a population of 10 million.

Porto Manich- considered by many, Navya's most beautiful city, was for a short period the country's capital. With the privatization of many companies lately, the city has lost importance to Navya city, which is now home to 60 percent of all the companies in the Nation. Due to the city's proximity to Navya, and for the city being in the shore, the city has gained wide importance for being a Port city. All this has made the city appear in several international occasions.

Aguas de Março- The first city established in the island, has great cutural value. Although not a very rich city, due to the lack of private establishments. It also has a port, but its not frequently used. This city is the second city in the island to receive most tourists (only second to Porto Manich).
