The Empire of Nuttylnd is located in southwest Europe*, bordering the straight of Varlden. The Empire has been and continues to be dominated entirely by massive industrial sectors, which spread all throughout the eastern coast. Nuttian scientists long ago debunked the myth of global warming, and have ever since failed to care about how much "pollutants" they put into the air. The fact that the average Nuttian dies at 50 from emphysema is just a coincidence. Though heavilly contested by the Fascist Republic of Azores, the Empire still claims to be the most dominant economic force in Europe*. Whether this is true or not, it is undisputed that the Empire has the most dominant manufacturing industry in existance, the Nuttian industry is powerful enough to manufacture an entirely new navy in one year.
Geography
Despite being an "Empire", the Empire of Nuttylnd has never really had much desire for land. However, recent events have expanded Nuttylnd's realm, gaining control over northern Radilo, an area populated by Nuttian Buddhists. To the south, the Empire is bordered by Radilo, a small nation which recently suffered a Nuttian supported regime change. To the west is the Aeroporian State of Rokolev, an ally of the Empire, which happens to be situated right between a nation the Empire is currently at war with the Greater Democratic Communist Union. To the north of the Empire is the barely active pacifist nation of Nya Varlden, which the Varlden straight takes its name, and to the south is the Republic of Socialist Scotland, which is also a pacifist nation, currently having part of its territory contested by the Federation of Gunnlandia, another ally of the Empire.
The History
Nuttians at one point in time existed in the location of modern day Christianan and Gunnlandia, current residents of those two nations are believed to be distant relatives of Nuttians. The various Nuttian Tribes migrated from their homes in Christianan and Gunnlandia to the modern day location of Moldor. It is here where Nuttylnd was formed, and after much in fighting, they united under the belief in the god Xagnon. From there the Empire was formed in approx. 1922 AD, under Emperor Nutty I. Industrial expansion was quick and rampant after the unification of the Nuttians. And during the reign of Emperor Pokey I, Nuttylnd saw it's economy improve to the point that Nuttylnd was richer and more economically powerful then any other nation in Europe, despite being isolationist. Emperor Pokey I is remembered now as "Pokey the Great", the capital is named after him, as well as the cities of Pokapolis, and Pokii, all in all 3 of the five largest cities in Nuttylnd share his namesake. After Pokey I's death, his son Nutty II took over, and ended the Empire's isolationist policies, emerging on the political scene in Europe*, ending for years any contest there was as to what nation had the most developed economy. After being the most active member in the PNNC for a short amount of time, the Empire suffered a civil war, in which the southern section of Nuttylnd, known as Nuttyland, broke away, led by communist dictator George Vonstein. A brief cease-fire was called, and the nations became seperated, but over a months time, Emperor Nutty II had taken advantage of the industrial supremacy of Nuttylnd compared to Nuttyland, and quickly built a military, and committed one of the most brutal acts of Europe*'s history, the fire-bombing of Nuttograd. This act killed roughly 1 million Nuttians, and was the subject of the HRP's first ever investigation, but thanks to corruption, the HRP reported no proof of war crimes. A few years later, Emperor Nutty II died, causing the Empire to leave the UFES, an organization it had been a member of with the Empire of Myrth and the Greater Democratic Communist Union, as well as others.
Emperor Nutty II's death marked a changing point in Nuttylnd. Up until this point, civil rights were completly unheard of in Nuttylnd, the Emperor ruled with an iron fist and that was that. But Pokey the second, son of the Emperor, was a firm believer in socialism, and thus did not take the title of Emperor Pokey II, and simply referred to himself as "The Chairman". Nuttylnd's sudden switch from hardline fascist to devout socialist caused an uproar within Europe, and caused the largest war since the Acme War, pitting Nuttylnd, Karlia, Frostinia, Northlanders, and Anadolu against the UCS and Cidonia, however, the war was cut short when Chairman Pokey went to visit Erlangen-Ansbach to discuss peace, only to have his plane shot down. The disappearance and presumed death of the Chairman left no one with the ability to turn off Nuttylnd's planned self-destruction defence, Green Alert. Green Alert activated days later, launching ICBM's at various nations in Europe, and detonating Bio/Chem warheads all throughout Nuttylnd.
Due to the assistance of her allies, Nuttylnd's people were able to live on, migrating south to Karlia, or north to Anadolu, the majority of Nuttylnd's population was preserved, and Nuttian culture was allowed to continue on with the collapse of the government's of Karlia and Anadolu, due in part to the recent conflict. Those who had fled to Karlia soon began practicing the old religion, following Xagnon, god of war, and began to rebuild under a former Nuttmobile executive named Banshelnor. These people renamed themselves "Moldorian" and years after the Nuttian destruction, they emerged on the scene.
The Armed Republic of Moldor soon alligned with the former enemies of Nuttylnd, the UCS, against the far-left nations of AGE, and began developing Neutron armaments, which it proceeded to test in international waters, culminating in a test missile exploding in the skies above Jemtlandica.
The "Tyranny" of Moldor did not last long, as soon thereafter the people deposed Emperor Banshelnor, and called upon the Dominion of Sortain to restore order. Moldor is now a Dominion state.
Within a few years, Nuttylnd itself reemerged in its current location, west of the Varlden straight. Chairman Pokey had struggled, but had survived his plane crash, and made his way back to Anadolu, united his people, and persuaded them to leave for the then uncharted south, where they began rebuilding, and established a socialist government under a council system, where Pokey was elected the Chairman. Under this new "People's Republic of Nuttylnd" the people continued to prosper as they had before the destruction of the former Empire. However, it was not long before the people began to lose their apathy for politics, and the voter turn-out rating turned from 33%, to 45%, electing a fascist council member. This, in turn, caused a civil war, in which the few socialists were thrown out. The civil war ultimately ended when Chairman Pokey was assassinated, and his son, Nutty the third, called for peace and unity, and both sides of the civil war pledged their allegiance to him, and thus, the Empire was reborn.
Nuttylnd Today
The Empire still practices a social equality policy, and is very much unchanged from it's time as a socialist "People's Republic", the only difference being Nuttians are inherently apathetic towards politics, and so it was only natural that an unpopular government would be in power if Nuttylnd were a democracy, so the problem was solved. It is thanks almost entirely to the introduction of Buddhism to Nuttylnd that there are such high civil rights.
