The Kinder, Gentler Powerhouse of Pangaelica is a massive nation located on the continent of Bucephalia in the region of Wysteria.
History

Pangaelica was created out of six nation-states with a long history of conflict. Those were Eire, Breizh, Kernow, Prydain, Alba and Mann. The uniting ruler, Domhnall O'Briain, rose to power in the second century BCE. The date of the creation of Pangaelica is the start of the native calendar year, usually counted as November 6, 174 BCE. A federal parliamentary republic was formed, and the monarchy was mostly dissolved as an influence over the six nations' politics. Its hold was completely eliminated during the Daffodil Rebellion of 572 PE (402 CE), when the upper house of the legislature was changed over from hereditary seats based on pre-union family status to an appointment-for-life system based on service to the nation.
Culture and Religion

It is difficult, if not impossible, to divorce Pangaelican culture from its religious beliefs. It is a standard tenet of its principal faith, Sinn Nós (the old ways), that all acts are sacred. This does not mean that Pangaelica lacks in a wide variety of entertainments. It merely means that if it is done, it should be done well and to the honor of one or more gods.
