Signore Ramón Pedro José Angel Ambardoza Silva, MSc, (h)BSc (born 22nd May, 1969 in Ampo di Ticino, Margheria, Pacitalia and raised in Liberiana-Sornanesca, Amalfia, Pacitalia), known in the media simply as Ramón Ambardoza, was a declared candidate for leadership of the Federation of Progressive Democrats. In the leadership convention held on 10th December, 2006, he was defeated on the final ballot whilst facing Archetenia Nera.
Ambardoza is the most recognisable advocate of envirocapitalism in Pacitalia, frequently lecturing on the subject as well as on other facets of environmentalism and economics, such as sustainable resources, climate change, air and water pollution, currency markets and mass industrialisation by developing countries. His work for various NGOs, such as the World Wildlife Fund, earned him an honourary bachelor's of science degree in sustainability studies from the National University of Timiocato in 2003, to complement the master's degree in environmental sciences he received in 1993 when he graduated from the University of Sapuntoli.
Ambardoza was the first (and eventually, only) declared candidate of Spanish-Pacitalian descent, following the Ariddian-Pacitalian Archetenia Nera and the Greco-Pacitalian Andreos Samothrakidis. He classifies himself as a devout Catholic. Despite his Margherian heritage, he is not a separatist and says he does not even remotely support the drive of Margherians to gain autonomy from Pacitalia.
