Region Wide Magnetic Trains Bill(URF)
Our region is vast and needs an environmentally friendly method of high speed transit. Flight, automotive, and traditional rail all produce greenhouse gases. Magnetic trains can travel at higher velocities safely and run on electric power. Although currently greenhouse gases are produced during electricity generation in many of our regions nations, this still reduced greenhouse gas output. We may also, with future bills, make changes to produce electricity with less gases.
Some of our nations are already working on high speed transit networks. We need a region wide standard for track size, as well as a region wide network. The regional government can contribute funds to all nations (especially the less well off ones) for initial construction, and (if necessary) for maintenance. It will be up to individual nations to plan out routes and maintenance however, they must conform to regional standards for maintenance (for safety reasons).
With this system in place traditional land, water, and air routes may remain but over long distances withing our region, the goal is to have the magnetic train to be preferable to traditional transit.
